Autistic Children – Suspecting a Problem, When There is Speech Delay Early On
As easy as it is for us to take speech for granted, we all in our hearts know that the faculty of speech is a wonder for the fact that it happens at all. That’s why parents usually start losing it when their child hasn’t started speaking at the right age. Nothing about a speech delay is easy to understand. Parents bring in a little uncooperative baby at the doctor’s, and it is all the pediatrician can do to keep the bedlam down. And the doctor needs to manage a way to find answers to a bunch of questions. How many words does the child normally use? Can anyone actually understand the child other than the parents? Does the child do more than use single words? Sometimes the parents can help with these answers, and sometimes the doctor has to make her own educated guesses. I have been blessed with three healthy wonderful children. My first two are easy going and quite easy to please. My youngest likes to have things her way or no way. She has been like this since the day she began to walk. She is not unpleasant to be around, but she can be challenging.
My youngest daughter has many friends. She does have great taste in clothing, decorating and also choosing personalities that compliment hers. She has a core of close friends and also group of friends that she has made from being involved in various activities. When she was younger we used to have birthday parties. Planning her birthday party was usually an ordeal because she would have a set theme in her head and she was not opened to looking at alternatives. About 12 years ago, I signed a 40 year mortgage to my home and my wife and I celebrated by opening up a bottle of champagne and having a nice dinner.

Loads of Fun With a Radio Controlled Helicopter
Recently I’ve been looking for fun outdoor activities that my whole family can enjoy. They needed far less pain medication after that. However, once enough time had gone by that the effects of the acupuncture (real or fake) had to wear off, far more in the sham group asked for pain medication over and above the fake acupuncture than did the people who received the real acupuncture.
So what did they learn from all this – do the researchers feel now that all the acupuncture with all the fancy acupuncture needles are all just messing with your brain to achieve their effects?
